The Robbins 29 Bay Workboat is a rugged utility boat with dual station steering. The Robbins 29 was originally designed by Cecil Robbins of Robbins Boatbuilders, and there are more than 200 Robbins 29s in service today with a proven track record as an efficient utility boat. Mathews Brothers is very pleased that Cecil Robbins had confidence in us to continue his tradition when he retired after more than three decades of boat building. The Marine Power 310 gas engine with blower comes standard as does a steering station forward and a workboat style aft steering station. The fuel capacity is 94 gallons. In keeping with the workboat tradition of utilizing as much cockpit space as possible, the cabin is set over the v-berth. The helm seat is attached to the bulkhead, and the helm itself is suspended over the v-berth. An optional seat opposite the helm station is available. The front window is fixed, with opening windshields optional. The side windows slide open. Basic electronic features include a deep cycle battery, exterior running lights, 12v outlet, VHF radio, antenna and compass. The interior dome light is more than sufficient for the small cabin. The Robbins 29 is an excellent way to get out on the Bay with confidence in a solid, reliable, proven watercraft. |
