“What more could you want?”…is what you
ask yourself once you’ve spent just a bit of time on our 40. Based again on a proven Cecil Robbins hull, the Mathews40 offers you long-range cruising with all the comforts of home.
This hull has literally supported watermen on the Chesapeake Bay for years. Its stable, deadrise hull with sharp entry and planning hull not only cruises on the glass-smooth surfaces of the water, but can also cut through the choppy waters when weather blows up out of nowhere; she planes quickly and beautifully.
The cockpit area is typically non-skid flooring, however teak is optional. The aft steering station affords you ease of use in docking, fishing, or simply entertaining al fresco. Optional transom gate and swim platforms can accommodate the most avid of fisherman, swimmers; boaters in general.
The salon area is equipped with comfortable helm and first-mate seating, dinette area with optional drop table for additional sleeping areas. The spacious galley configuration includes a flushmount refrigerator, single burner cooktop, stainless sink, trash compartments, optional microwave and lots of storage.
Forward in the cabin down below, you’re equipped with an enclosed full head with shower – optional separate shower is available. A large built-in bureau provides an enormous amount of storage space, along with the hanging locker and under-v-berth storage areas. Either traditional v-berth or center-line berth sleeping arrangements are offered.
