The Blue Seas 31 Out Island model was introduced in the late 1980s for cruisers as opposed to the Palm Beach model which was geared for the fishermen. This model features a larger cabin made for comfortable cruising.
Early Bird has the galley-up layout which features the galley to starboard in the main salon abaft the helm. This allows for a nice settee to port in the main salon which can double as a double berth. Forward of the main salon is the head to starboard across from a single berth to port and finally, the vee berth.
Early Bird has been well-loved and well cared for by her current owners. She was featured in an article, “In the wake of the Big Boys”, in Chesapeake Bay Magazine in November 2014 for a full Chesapeake Bay cruise.
Early Bird was commissioned in 1987 and Volvo Diesel has 1,241 hours.
Early Bird has been winterized by the yard and inside storage has been paid until Spring 2016.
